As you may know, AMD's supreme juice, the long-awaited Ryzen 9 3950X is about to hit the traditional consumer market. And apparently we even have side-by-side benchmarks, the best that AMD has to offer, with what Intel will offer in the future!
After all, we already have benchmark results (3DMark FireStrike) from AMD Ryzen 9 3950X vs Intel Core i9-10980XE 'Cascade Lake-XE'.

So, although the results come from different users, it looks like everything was done with the Stock settings.
That said, we first got the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X which had to accompany a Gigabyte Aorus Elite X570, as well as 3200MHz Kingston DDR4 RAM, achieving 32082 points in the Physics test. (Maximum turbo was 3.7GHz)
Later we turned our attention to the 18-core Intel Core i9-10980XE that had to accompany its adventure with an ASUS WS X299 SAGE / 10G Workstation motherboard. In addition we can find 32GB of Samsung DDR4 2666MHz RAM. (A differentiating factor between the two platforms). In short, this build hit 25838 points… Far below what AMD's offer achieved with 2 fewer physical cores. (4.8GHz maximum turbo)
Very interesting results, before the release of both processors. Especially because the Ryzen 9 3950X didn't even have the best RAM possible. So your performance will be even more amazing (+ 8-12% performance). However, the Intel solution was not at its full potential either due to the RAM used in the system.
One thing is for sure, AMD is on the right track! However, if Intel doesn't start to change things urgently, it could be a bad time.
