TSMC's investment continues! The 3nm are already on their way

by ace

As you may know, TSMC is betting heavily and ugly on its production lines. By the way, if you've been aware of AMD's success with its Ryzen 3000 processors, you should know that the 7nm Zen 2 architecture comes from these same production lines.

Interestingly enough, TSMC's 7nm production lines are being so successful that the company does not even have the hands to measure with all orders. After all, we have AMD, Qualcomm, Huawei, etc… And apparently there are even more companies interested after seeing AMD's return to the top.

TSMC's investment continues! The 7nm are having tremendous success. The 7nm + and 5nm are also headed… And apparently, the 3nm are already on their way!

Therefore, TSMC's race to performance and miniaturization of its processes continues. With a considerable increase in investment to ensure the success of current and future processes, as we said here:

In the end, TSMC is investing as much or more than Intel! And that is really impressive considering the size of both companies.

To this end, TSMC has purchased about 30 hectares of land in Taiwan to build new factories that will be responsible for producing the world's first 3nm products. That said, construction should start in 2020 to be able to follow process planning, which still has 7nm + and 5nm for years to come.

TSMC's investment continues! The 3nm are already on their way – Besides, what do you think about all this? Share with us your opinion in the comments below.
